J. Matthew Hamilton joined HotelBrokerOne in 2008. Immediately prior to joining HB1, Matthew had been associated with another nationally respected hospitality brokerage firm for nearly five years.
Before becoming an extremely successful hotel and motel investment specialist, Matthew had 15 years experience in senior management of a major hospitality contracting and consulting firm. As COO and EVP of Sales and Marketing, Matthew's personal business clients included hotel industry giants, Ritz Carlton Hotels, Marriott Hotels (Marriott Courtyards, Fairfield Inns, and full-service Marriott properties), and Sheraton Hotels. Additionally, his prior ownership and operation of an independent mortgage company gives him extensive lending experience. Matthew is very well versed in the third party debt arena.
He is a graduate, with honors, of Madison University and holds an MBA, with honors. In 2005, Matthew received his Certified Hotel Broker's Certification (CHB), and was one of only two students in his graduating class to receive the Certification with Distinction.
Matthew has been a prolific hospitality agent from virtually his first day in the industry. In 2003, Matthew was named HBI's South Central Associate of the Year as well as HBI's New Associate of the Year. Matthew also received HBI's prized award for the national Unique Deal of the Year, awarded for the year's most difficult and intricate transaction. In January 2004, Matthew was elected to HBI's Board of Directors. Also, in 2004, Matthew was awarded HBI's most prestigious and highly coveted award of Salesperson of the Year.
Matthew's extensive hotel and lending background, coupled with his vast knowledge of his geographic area bring a tremendous level of service and experience to his HotelBrokerOne clientele.
