Bernard “Bernie” Levine has been actively involved in the lodging industry and commercial real estate for many years. He has owned several hotels, Independent and franchised – full and limited service. He has long been involved in the Arizona business community and Hospitality industry associations.
He has served on the Board of Directors and held numerous offices, including the Presidencies of the Valley Hotel & Resort Association, the Arizona Hotel and Lodging Association and the International Operators Council of Choice Hotels. In addition, he served on the Board of the Phoenix Convention & Visitors Bureau, and as a member of the Arizona Tourism Advisory Council by appointment of two Governors. He also served on numerous citizens' commissions by appointment of two different Mayors and City Councils of Phoenix.
Bernie currently serves on the Board of the Arizona Hotel & Lodging Association and also maintains membership in the Valley Hotel & Resort Association.
Bernie received his real estate license in 1970 and became a Broker in 1975. For several years, he managed the Commercial division of a multi-branch real estate company in the Phoenix/Scottsdale area and dealt with many phases of commercial real estate.
While always active in the lodging phase of real estate, since 1995, he has dealt exclusively with Hotel and Motel sales as Associate Broker of Swoboda & Associates, a Hotel/Motel brokerage firm, operated for more than 50 years by Bill Swoboda, until his recent death, and more recently as Associate Broker and now as Designated Broker of Hotel Broker One's Arizona Office.
Having both purchased and sold lodging properties for his personal account coupled with his years of experience as a hotel broker, he has a real understanding of the needs, concerns, and goals of both Buyers and Sellers.
